Fraser Island is an ecotourism mecca with endless beeches and excellent fishing, thousands of four wheel driving and camping enthusiasts visit the island each year. To get there it's a 240 km drive North from Brisbane to Rainbow Beach and Inskip where there is a vehicular ferry that crosses to the southern end of the island. Alternatively one can head further North to Urangan where there are vehicular ferries across to Moon Point. |

Most fly fishermen launch from Urangan and make the journey across the bay to fish the inside of Fraser Island. Longtail tuna, mac tuna, spotted mackeral and the odd juvenile black marlin can be targetted along the Western side of the Island, while golden trevally can be targetted on the many sand flats in the area. |
