Noosa Heads is under two hours drive north of Brisbane.  It has become an up-market holiday destination for good reason - it's a beautiful part of the world with splendid National Parks, lakes, rivers and beaches.

It also has much to offer in terms of flyfishing. From a climate and fishing perspective this  is an all year round destination.

Shore based fishing in the Noosa river is good, ranging from bass in the upper reaches to trevally in the mouth. Offshore has good pelagics and reef fishing. Tuna, mackerel, bonito, tailor, cobia and yellowtail kingfish are targetted.

To the north of Noosa lies Tin Can Bay and the vehicular ferry to Frase Island from Inskip Point.

Boat ramps are at Noosa and Tin Can Bay. The Sunshine Coast Airport at Maroochydore is half an hours drive from Noosa,  It has direct flights to most Australian capital cities.
