Eden offers a range of good fishing including accessible fishing spots in the local lakes, estuaries, beaches, headlands, as well as inshore and offshore boating options. Wonboyn Lake to the south of Eden surrounded by national parkland is an estuary fishing paradise, with 6 km of tidal river flow into the lake along with 4 km of estuary. There are a number of famous very good land based game-fishing platforms in the area.
The coast from Twofold Bay to Green Cape and south to Disaster Bay offers rugged and remote fishing in the Ben Boyd national park areas. |

Inshore fishing is focussed on Twofold Bay with its extensive shoreline of Bays and access to deeper water. Offshore there is excellent game fishing at Magic Triangle to the south east, between Red Point and Muttay Point. The area fishes best from October to May. But the variety of species means there is good fishing all year.
Boat ramps are at Quarantine Bay located 3 km south of Eden, where there is a four lane boat ramp, and Wonboun Lake which is 30km to the south. |

Eden was once a whaling economy, now it offers brilliant whale watching tours. The economy still depends significantly on its commercial fishing fleet based Snug Cove.
Visitors are well catered for at Eden. There are good restaurants and licensed clubs. Accommodation options include holiday units, motels, hotels and caravan parks.
There are very many charter operations in the area who focus on conventional tackle techniques. Some will cater for fly fishing charters - however, expectations need to be made clear, and all specialist tackle needs pre-arranged.
